The Society of Neuromuscular Sciences Incorporated (SONS Inc) Australia is a Not For Profit Organisation of medical professionals from a wide spectrum of practices. Our Members include General Practitioners, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Orthopaedics, Colorectal Surgery, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Forensics, Urology and ENT as well as allied medical health professionals who love skiing and attending Winter Conferences in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
From 1974 until 2023 the Thredbo Conference Centre provided the perfect venue for the SONS Annual Conference held in August each year.
The enthusiasm and demand for the SONS Conference grew and we added an additional Conference in Niseko, Japan for the Northern winter in January 2006. In 2023 we moved to Rusutsu, a resort specially developed for conferencing with powder snow at the door.
From 2024 the Southern Hemisphere Conference moved to New Zealand. It continues to be a unique opportunity for medical professionals from different backgrounds and with common interests to learn and develop their skills and knowledge.
